SYDNEY: Toyota continued its leadership in the Australian market for the 23rd consecutive year with 239,863 new vehicle sales in 2025.
It was the company’s second highest Australian sales result on record.
With a market share of 19.3 per cent, almost one in every five cars sold in Australia in 2025 was a Toyota.
Eight Toyota vehicles led their individual segments: Corolla, Camry, RAV4, LandCruiser wagon, HiLux 4x2, HiAce Commuter bus, Coaster and HiAce van.
The RAV4 continued its incredible popularity in Australia and was Toyota’s best-selling vehicle in 2025 with 51,947 sales.
For the sixth consecutive year, the RAV4 was also the top selling SUV (sport utility vehicle) in the Australia.
November 2025 was the best month of sales for RAV4 Hybrid on record with 6,390 vehicles delivered.

2025 saw the introduction of the new ninth-generation Toyota HiLux – a vehicle that has become part of the cultural fabric of Australia.
The HiLux finished 2025 with 51,297 sales.
The Corolla was the best-selling passenger vehicle in the country with 18,968 sales in 2025.
As a leader in hybrid technology, 48.6 per cent of all Toyota sales in 2025 were hybrids.
Crucial to the success of Toyota in Australia is the leading brand’s extensive dealer network – the largest in Australia.
In addition, Toyota has Australia’s most extensive genuine parts distribution and service network.
Complementing the existing network in Sydney, Melbourne and Darwin, this year Toyota opened a new parts distribution centre in Perth, with a second in Brisbane expected to open this year.
