Toyota Dream Car Art contest is back for the 18th edition
By CARSIFU | 19 November 2024SHAH ALAM: The Toyota Dream Car Art contest is back for the 18th edition and submissions are open from now till Jan 31 next year.
The art contest is a global competition, held by Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) in various countries, to inspire children to think creatively and dream about the future of mobility.
"Your Dream Car" is the theme for this year's contest.
The contest which is in its 18th edition, is open to children in three age groups:
> Group 1: 7 years old and under,
> Group 2: 8 to 11 years old,
> Group 3: 12 to 15 years old.
Each category will receive three top winners (Gold, Silver and Bronze) and two consolation prizes.
The top nine entries from Malaysia (three from each category) will be submitted to Japan to compete in the global World Contest, with the final winners to be announced in August next year by Toyota Motor Corporation.
In the previous edition, the contest saw a remarkable 710,000 submissions from 90 countries.
This year’s contest provides an opportunity for children to explore both hand-drawn and digital artwork, offering them the freedom to use a wide range of materials and techniques.

UMWT president Datuk Ravindran K. said the Toyota Dream Car Art contest is more than just a competition but also an opportunity for children to explore their creativity and envision a better future through mobility.
