Toyota Malaysia Pickle Tour 2026 concludes: Over 1,500 participants

SHAH ALAM: The recent Toyota Malaysia Pickle Tour 2026 became one of Malaysia’s widest-reaching pickleball events.

The tour recently concluded its five cities nationwide journey that brought together over 1,500 participants across five states in East and West Malaysia.

Spanning Sarawak, Sabah, Johor, Penang and Selangor, the tour created a shared platform for Malaysians of different ages and experience levels to play, compete and connect through one of the country’s fastest-growing sports.

Beginning in Kuching before moving through Kota Kinabalu, Johor Bahru and George Town, the tour concluded in Subang Jaya with its final weekend of competition and community activities.

Organised by UMW Toyota Motor with the support of Kementerian Belia dan Sukan (KBS), the tour saw 637 adults and 289 juniors compete across the five locations, with junior categories open to players from seven years old and the adult team structure including players aged 50 and above.

Apart from that, 177 participants took part through the coaching clinics.

A defining feature of the Toyota Malaysia Pickle Tour was its “Solo Entry. Team Glory.” format for adult participants, registered individually before being brought together into teams.

With a total prize pool of RM175,000, the tour featured separate adult and junior categories, with winners recognised at each leg.

“In just its second year, the Toyota Malaysia Pickle Tour has grown into a much bigger community platform, and that growth has come from the people who continue to show up, play and make the Tour their own. We are grateful to the players, families and pickleball communities who have supported us from one stop to the next," said UMW Toyota Motor president Datuk Ravindran K.

"This year, the tour reached communities across East and West Malaysia, making it one of the country’s most extensive pickleball tours by geographical reach. For us, that is Mobility for All in action, creating more opportunities for people to move, connect and enjoy the sport together,” said UMW Toyota Motor president Datuk Ravindran K.

The Toyota Malaysia Pickle Tour 2026 was made possible with the support of Official Tournament Partner Joola, together with Fred Perry and Milo, and partners G Hotel, AirFly, ATF, Salonpas, CK Ingredient, Thermos and Kao.
