LOS ANGELES: Leading up to Formula Drift Long Beach weekend, Toyota teases a new GR Corolla vehicle in development.
While vehicle details are yet to be confirmed, new fender vents, hood vents, and a rear spoiler can be seen through the camo, highlighting the enhancements on the horizon.
Born on the track, this vehicle is expected to have improved aerodynamic performance, a bump in torque and unique tuning.
The Gazoo Racing team is still working to fine-tune this vehicle to make it ready for Akio Toyoda’s final test drive.
Meanwhile, caranddriver.com reports that the rumour mill has been hard at work with theories that this test mule might be the latest entry in Gazoo Racing’s even more extreme MN (short for “Meisters of Nürburgring”) sub-brand.
Prior GRMN models have been track-ready limited editions with substantial upgrades and tuning input from professional racing drivers, says www.caranddriver.com.
Also, motor1.com reports that there are now Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres instead of Pilot Sport 4.
It's a sign that this future version will be just about as hardcore as the Morizo Edition since that one also had the stickier tyres, says motor1.com.
