TQ Wuling Bingo EV: ADAS standard on both variants

KUALA LUMPUR: TQ Wuling has announced that the locally assembled Bingo EV (electric vehicle) now comes standard with key Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) features across both variants.

The ADAS suite includes Blind Spot Warning, Lane Change Assist, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Rear Collision Warning, Low-Speed Pedestrian Warning, Door Opening Warning, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, rain-sensing auto wipers, walk-away auto lock and unlock, and impact-sensing automatic door unlock.

In addition, the Bingo EV is built with high-tensile steel for enhanced structural strength and is equipped with six airbags, with Malaysia being the first market to receive this enhanced airbag configuration.

“Safety should not be a premium-only feature. By making ADAS standard in the Bingo EV, we are ensuring that more Malaysians can benefit from intelligent protection in their daily drives,” said TQ Manufacturing Sdn Bhd head of business Wan Wei Sun.

Also, the first batch of locally assembled TQ Wuling Bingo electric vehicles (EVs) was recently delivered to customers.

“I was drawn to the retro-modern design of the TQ Wuling Bingo EV from the start. After the test drive, I was pleasantly surprised by how responsive and easy it is to drive in the city. It’s stylish, practical, and within my budget,” said Intan, an early Bingo EV owner.

Christine, another Bingo EV owner, said, "It’s surprisingly spacious, the air-conditioning is perfect for our hot weather, and the drivability is superb. What impressed us most was the affordability and how easily it manoeuvres through traffic congestion.”

Assembled at Tan Chong Group’s manufacturing facility in Segambut, the Bingo EV offers 15 storage compartments and a flexible boot capacity of up to 1,240 litres with the rear seats folded.

Inside, a distinctive floating-island centre console integrates dual 10.25-inch digital displays with Android Auto and Apple Carplay functionality, while youthful exterior colours - Milky White, Neon Blue and Lavender Purple with a contrasting black roof - reinforce its contemporary appeal.

The Bingo Pro variant offers a driving range of up to 333km (CLTC), while the Bingo Max delivers up to 410km (CLTC) on a single charge.

Powering the Bingo EV is SGM-Wuling’s proprietary Magic EV Battery, engineered under an ultra-high-standard battery safety system.

Extensively tested under extreme conditions — including impact, compression, fire exposure, water immersion and thermal stress — the battery is designed for durability and long-term reliability.

It carries an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance and is backed by a global track record of zero fire or explosion incidents across more than three million Wuling EVs sold worldwide.

Early customers of the TQ Wuling Bingo EV can still enjoy the “Bingo EV Fabulous 5” ownership package.

The package includes:

  • RM5,000 cash rebate, bringing on-the-road prices to RM62,800 (Bingo Pro) and RM67,800 (Bingo Max)
  • Warranty covering the EV battery (eight-year/120,000km) and drive motor (eight-year/160,000km)
  • Monthly instalments from RM625 per month (selected financing institutions)
  • Free 7kW home charger and portable three-pin charger
  • Free TQ premium solar tinting package, and insurance with 17 EV-specific benefits

There are six dedicated TQ Wuling showrooms located in Glenmarie, Selangor, as well as Jalan Raja Laut, OUG and Melati Utama in Kuala Lumpur, Butterworth in Pulau Pinang, and Johor Jaya in Johor Baru.

These are complemented by seven aftersales centres within the Tan Chong Group’s service network.
