By A. NACHI | 11 September 2024KUALA LUMPUR: Triumph Motorcycles has introduced several refinements to its Tiger 1200 line up for 2024 which enhances performance, comfort and aesthetics.
Available in four variants, they are the road-focused GT Pro priced at RM113,600 and GT Explorer at RM122,000, with the off-road capable Rally Pro at RM118,400 and the Rally Explorer at RM129,000.
Each variant comes with unique wheel setups and fuel capacities from 20 to 30 litres.
Key updates include improved performance with smoother low-speed control from the 1,160cc T-plane triple engine delivering 147hp and 130Nm, a reworked clutch for easier gear shifts and increased cornering ground clearance.
Riders can now benefit from the Active Preload Reduction feature, which lowers seat height by 20mm for improved comfort during stops.
Other features include a lightweight chassis, advanced Showa suspension, and a comprehensive technology package with up to six riding modes, blind spot radar, cornering ABS and traction control among others.
For long-distance touring, the Tiger 1200’s ergonomics have been enhanced, featuring dampened handlebars, a redesigned flatter seat, and improved mirror visibility.
The GT Pro and Rally Pro now boast exciting colours, including Carnival Red and Matt Sandstorm, respectively.
Triumph said the updates are based on customer feedback and further refine the Tiger 1200’s already successful formula.
First launched in 2021, the Tiger 1200 continues to dominate its segment, with notable achievements such as World Enduro Champion Ivan Cervantes breaking the Guinness World Record for the longest distance travelled on a motorcycle in 24 hours on a Tiger 1200 GT Explorer.
These 2024 models are available at all Triumph Official dealers around Malaysia.
