TrueMoney ties up with BHPetrol and Petron to offer cashless payments

KUALA LUMPUR: New e-wallet and digital payment operator TrueMoney has teamed up with BHPetrol and Petron to enable its users to pay at all 794 Petron and 320 BHPetrol service stations across Malaysia.

TrueMoney app users can also take advantage of cash reload benefits at participating merchants, which include BHPetrol stations, Petron
petrol stations, Five petrol stations, Billion Shopping Centre and Hai-O Raya.

This expansion extends the company's network to 7,475 outlets offering the convenience of cash reload.

Newly launched in Malaysia in January, the company now has expanded its e-wallet ecosystem to 12,000 merchants and 30,000 payment points spanning retail, gaming and technology.

The new player on the local scene is muscling into a competitive field occupied by the likes of Touch 'n Go eWallet, GrabPay and Boost.

TrueMoney is a regional fintech company in South-East Asia, under Ascend Money, a joint venture between Thailand's Charoen Pokphand Group (C.P. Group) and China's Ant Financial (Alibaba), with a mission to enable everyone to gain access to innovative financial services.

It operates in seven countries, including Malaysia.
