Turkey's Togg to showcase two EV models at Munich Mobility Show
By DPA | 03 September 2025
ISTANBUL: Togg, the first homegrown Turkish carmaker to emerge in decades, is spearheading expansion into Europe by showing two battery-electric models at the IAA car show in Munich next week.
Togg has been selling its T10X SUV in Turkey since 2023 and has pitched it with a sticker price of €41,000 (RM201,840).
The car is expected to enter showrooms in Germany - home to Europe's largest Turkish diaspora - later this year.
Alongside the T10X on the Togg stand will be the new T10F notchback saloon which uses the T10X modular system and is designed to woo away customers from the VW ID.7.
The T10F has a given range of 623km between charges.
The new Togg saloon has a full-width cockpit display and generous entertainment and connectivity features.
More technical details will be revealed at the show from Sept 9-14.
Togg said it will also put in an appearance in Munich, where it will offer test drives in the two cars.
The existing Togg sports utility stands at 4.60 metres and squares up against the Volkswagen ID.5 and Tesla Model Y.
It comes with either 52.4kWh or 88.5kWh batteries for á standard ranges of up to 523km and the SUV can be equipped with either one or two motors.
The power output then varies from 160kW/218hp to 320kW/435hp.
According to the manufacturer, the most powerful Togg has a top speed of up to 185kph.
The Togg is no slouch either when it comes to charging and can do so at up to 180kW.
Togg was founded in 2018 as Turkiye’nin Otomobili Girişim Grubu using an acronym of the Turkish for "Turkey's Automobile Joint Venture Group Inc.".
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan had earlier made repeated calls for a new Turkish-made car after the demise of the defunct Anadol brand which made cars and pick-ups between 1966 and 1991.
