PETALING JAYA: MINI today unveiled new additions to the MINI Electric Resolute Edition – offering new colourways to the all-electric MINI 3 Door.

Limited to only 90 units in Malaysia, the MINI Electric Resolute Edition offers a new exclusive design and equipment features to the hatchback.

In addition to the Rebel Green colour offering, the MINI Electric Resolute Edition is now also available in Enigmatic Black and Nanuq White.

It is priced at RM 211,164 (on the road, without insurance). The price is inclusive of 4 years unlimited mileage warranty, 8 years /100,000km high voltage battery warranty with free scheduled service.

Instead of incorporating chrome elements in its exterior design language, the hallmark design features are finished in Resolute Bronze.

These include the surrounds of the headlights, radiator grille and rear lights, the side scuttles on the front side panels and the handles of the doors and tailgate.



In contrast, the surrounding strip at the lower edge of the windscreen is finished in Piano Black, as are the inner frame of the radiator grille, the brand logos and the model inscription.

The car also comes with bonnet stripes in an exclusive design. Like the door sill trims, they feature a pattern made up of parallel lines with a colour gradient that runs between a light and a dark shade of gold, along with the inscription “RESOLUTE”. Exclusive features to the new edition include the Waistline Finisher in black, as well as 17-inch Electric Collection Spoke alloy wheels.

The interior of the MINI Electric Resolute Edition is furnished with seats in the Cloth/Leatherette finish with Black Pearl Light Chequered upholstery, as well as an anthracite-coloured roof liner with black armrests and knee rolls to further reflect the sense of hallmark driving fun.

The lower spoke of the Nappa leather sports steering wheel stylishly bears the edition-specific MINI Resolute logo. With evenly curved lines in a light golden tone, the graphic design forms a pinstripe pattern on the interior surfaces and side sills.



The upholstery is sustainably made with recycled PET (PolyEthylene Terephthalate) bottles. The recycling share of the upper fabric is 100% recycled PES (Polyester) and the lining is made up of around 70% recycled PET material, which results in a recycling rate of 90.6%.

As with the first Resolute Edition introduced in September 2022, the two variants uses the same electric motor on the front axle to deliver 135kW/181hp and 270Nm of torque. This enables the MINI to sprint from 0-100kph in 7.3s and onwards to  a top speed of 150kph.

It uses a 32.6kWh Li-ion battery that offers a range of 232km, which is wanting by today's standards.

However, MINI will be offering two bigger capacity battery packs in the next iteration to deliver a more useful range of 300km and 400km.



As for charging time, the current MINI has a 11kW onboard AC charger to fully juice up the battery in two and half hours. DC fast charging at 50kW takes 36 mins to raise the battery charge from 10% to 80%.
