SHAH ALAM: UMW Toyota Motor (UMWT) has opened entries for the Toyota Dream Car Art Contest (DCAC) for its 19th edition, an annual global initiative that invites children across Malaysia to imagine, design, and bring to life their vision of future mobility.
This contest encourages young minds to dream boldly and think creatively to turn imagination into meaningful ideas that could one day drive positive change.
From eco-friendly innovations to designs that foster unity, the Toyota Dream Car Art Contest reflects UMWT’s belief that the power to build a better tomorrow begins with the creativity of today’s children.
UMW Toyota Motor president Datuk Ravindran K shared that "Every great idea begins with imagination. Through the Dream Car Art Contest, we aim to inspire children to dream fearlessly about the future of mobility and show how their creativity can spark real-world solutions for a better planet."

"This contest reflects Toyota’s commitment to nurturing creativity and strengthening our bonds with communities across Malaysia.”
Since 2004, the Toyota Dream Car Art Contest has inspired nearly 9.4 million children across 144 countries and regions giving them a platform to share ideas that go beyond transportation - envisioning cars that protect the environment, connect people, and drive society forward.
The 19th Toyota Dream Car Art Contest will run in Malaysia from Oct 1, 2025 to Feb 8, 2026 with the theme “Your Dream Car” and is open to three age categories:
- Group 1: 7 years old and under
- Group 2: 8 – 11 years old
- Group 3: 12 – 15 years old
Each age group will recognise five outstanding participants, with Gold, Silver, and Bronze awards, plus two consolation prizes.

From these, nine Malaysian winners (three per category) will be selected to represent Malaysia at the World Contest in Japan. National winners will be announced in April 2026.
In the previous edition, the contest attracted an impressive 665,326 submissions from 90 countries.
For this year, participants are encouraged to explore both hand-drawn and digital artworks, using diverse creative materials, media and techniques.
Submissions may be presented on A3-sized paper or submitted in high-resolution digital formats (JPG or PNG).
“Through the Dream Car Art Contest, we see creativity as the first step toward mobility, not just the movement of vehicles, but the movement of ideas and people,” added Ravindran.
“It’s a celebration of how imagination can drive inclusion, sustainability, and innovation, the same principles that guide Toyota’s pursuit of Mobility for All.”
