KUALA LUMPUR: Tan Chong Industrial Equipment Sdn Bhd (TCIE)'s newly-upgraded Batu Caves 3S Centre promises to deliver quicker and more efficient services to UD Trucks customers.
The Batu Caves 3S Centre, which also serves as TCIE’s headquarters, now offers improved customer engagement experience, engineering and technical assistance for breakdown and maintenance, and a 24-hour breakdown service support.

TCIE senior general manager Loh Thim Choy said customers and drivers who visit the centre would now be welcomed by four reception counters to reduce waiting time.
"This centre has gone through a thorough and major upgrading, and it truly demonstrates our strong dedication in enhancing customer experience and the efficiency of their business, as well as our own operations," he said at the official opening of the centre and the 90th anniversary of UD Trucks recently.
The event was attended by some 200 guests with the latest Euro 5 Quester and Croner trucks on display.

The upgraded 3S Centre also now boasts 28 service and repair bays compared to 14 bays previously.
Traffic work flow is also more streamlined as 14 bays are dedicated for light commercial vehicles and the other 14 bays are for medium and heavy commercial vehicles.
Loh said aside from upgrading several other dealership centres, the company would also be expand its dealership network and include new centres in Klang and other key locations.

UD Trucks Hub Malaysia managing director Steve Hedouin said the company aimed to continue to deliver transformative innovations and solutions for smart logistics.
This, he said, would help customers become more efficient and resilient in a rapidly changing industry landscape while contributing towards environmental sustainability.
Hedouin said UD Trucks' partnership with TCIE since 1978 had yielded great strides together, especially in the recent decade through the offering of new innovations of such as the renowned heavy-duty Quester, medium-duty Croner and light-duty Kuzer trucks in this market.
UD Trucks was founded in 1935 by Kenzo Adachi.
