PONTIAN: The Vehicle Entry Permit (VEP) trial run for foreign-registered vehicles entering Malaysia from Johor’s entry points is expected to be completed by the end of this month, says Transport Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai.

The trial began in July to iron out any technical problem that may arise at the Causeway and Second Link checkpoints.

“I will not announce the implementation date without being sure that the system is perfect as we cannot afford any mistake,” he told reporters after launching the Tanjung Piai and Pontian MCA divisions’ annual general meeting yesterday.
