VinFast global showroom design competition comes with total prize worth over US$60,000

HO CHI MINH CITY: Vietnamese car maker VinFast is looking at international talents to design its smart vehicle showrooms to be built globally.

The "VinFast Global Showroom Design Competition 2021" is organised by Vietnam Design Association offers a total prizes worth over US$60,000 (RM243,000).

The first prize is worth US$40,000 (RM162,000), along with three second prizes each worth US$3,000 (RM12,132), five third prizes each worth US$1,000 (RM4,044) and 41 consolation prizes each worth US$200 (RM809).

Winners will also receive certificates and have the opportunity to co-operate with VinFast in the future.

Winning entries must deliver showroom design ideas that represents VinFast's vision and core values, as well as the cultural values and identities of the target markets.

This competition is a new milestone for VinFast regarding the company's global strategy in the US, Europe, Australia, and Asia Pacific markets.

Submissions for entries closes on February 25.

The works should be in complete 3D design with three main work items:

* Exterior architectural space with an area of 30m x 20m
* Architectural space of standard car showroom with a minimum area of 10m x 7m
* Architectural space of creative zone with a minimum area of 10m x 7m.

The most unique, impressive design ideas will be projected at New York City's Times Square in April 2021.

Judges for the competition will consist of renowned professors, design experts from the prestigious architect and design associations globally, and high-level leaders of VinFast.
