KUALA LUMPUR: Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM) announced today that all its service centres will be operating at full capacity.

The company said it is conducting a "Safe Hands" campaign for its dealers nationwide that employs contactless vehicle acceptance, video walkthroughs, sanitization before
and after repairs as well as cashless payments with e-invoicing as a standard operating procedure.

Additionally, selected dealers will offer vehicle pick-up and drop-off arrangements.

Other safety precautions implemented at service centres include regular sanitization of the premise and regular temperature screenings on all staff and customers.

Services will strictly be on an appointment basis and owners are advised to get in touch with their preferred service centres to schedule an appointment.

For Volkswagen owners and frontliners who previously made appointments via the "Welcome Back" campaign will receive priority and depends on availability.

“As we prepare to attend to the aftersales needs of our customers, we keep in mind that social distancing is the new normal and that hygiene and sanitization is now an essential part of daily precautionary measures," said VPCM managing director Erik Winter.

Winter added that their "Safe Hands" operating procedures will apply to all aspects of the company's operations as well.
