Volvo Buses Malaysia launches Euro 5 emission standard bus chassis

SHAH ALAM: Volvo Buses Malaysia's newly launched bus chassis is designed to meet Euro 5 emission standards.

The newly developed B11R is equipped with an advanced exhaust control system that reduces emissions by up to 80% compared to previous Euro 3 and Euro 4 standards.

The Volvo B11R bus chassis is also packed with a suite of advanced safety features in addition to the environmentally friendly engine technology.

The Driver Safety System (DSS) as it is known comprises of several active safety systems such as Collision Warning with Emergency Brake (automatic braking if driver does not act), Forward Collision Warning, Cruise Control, Lane Change Support, and Lane Keeping Support.

Together, these functions provide safety enhancements beyond current legal requirements.

“The B11R is poised to be a game changer. With its state-of-the-art technology, those opting for this chassis will very quickly find out that they have an asset on their hands that will enhance their bottom line," said Volvo Buses Malaysia general manager Marcus Mak.

"Passengers today recognise Volvo for safety, and they will surely be wanting to be traveling in the safest way possible," he added.

Mak also pointed out that the manufacture of a high-quality bus requires technical partners that are on top of their game.

“We would not be able to deliver on our promise to the market without competent and reliable coach builders," said Mak.
