The launch of the locally-assembled Passat R-Line was held via live telecast on social media and has been priced at RM203,411.18 (on-the-road without insurance and sales tax).
The introduction of the Passat R-Line finally completes the current Volkswagen R-Line range for Malaysia.
With a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine, this executive sedan has been further decked out with special performance interior and exterior trims.
This includes new R-Line front and rear bumpers, side R-Line badge, chrome trims and 19-inch Verona alloy wheels.
Inside, the cabin features an R-Line trim consisting of Nappa carbon-style black leather seats, black roof headliner, steering wheel and aluminium sports pedals.
The Passat R-Line also comes with Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC) and Driving Mode Selection with up to 15 driving style preferences.
For comfort and convenience, there is the personalised Digital Cockpit, wireless App-Connect Apple Car Play and 14-way powered front seats in Nappa carbon-style black leather with driver massage and memory functions.

This weekend, from Oct 17 to 18, Volkswagen dealerships nationwide will be hosting a virtual event featuring detailed walkthroughs of the new Passat R-Line.
Customers are invited to send in their questions and interact with Sales Consultants via Facebook Live from the comfort and safety of their own homes.
Those who place a booking during this weekend will enjoy an additional RM2,000 rebate s well as RM3,500 exclusive savings on the full Passat range, via the Volkswagen eShowroom.
There will also be an additional RM1,000 rebate on other Volkswagen models, with the exception of the Polo.
