KUALA LUMPUR: Winners in the recently held Volkswagen Shutter Stories photography contest showed off their passion and skill in sharing their best photos - from love on the open road to colours bursting through everyday life.
The first edition of the contest was an initiative by Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia, and powered by Fujifilm Malaysia.
The contest invited Malaysians and residents aged 18 years old and above to share their best photos according to five themes: VW Love, VW Adventure, VW People, VW Motion, and VW Life & Colours.
The contest drew in more than 30 entries - each submission consisting of one photo each representing five inspiring cornerstones of Volkswagen: VW Love, VW Adventure, VW Motion, VW People, and VWColours & Life.
Two out of five entries must include a Volkswagen model.

Grand Prize winner Hasanul Asyraf bin Hanafi, 35 years old, clinched a Fujifilm camera and lens set worth up to RM7,000.
He also clinched a mentorship programme with expert photographer, Aaron Lee and a one-year contract as a photographer for VPCM - exposure and experience designed to sharpen his photography skills particularly for the automotive industry.
Meanwhile, the first runner up, Kelvin Ooi, 23, received the latest Fujifilm instax Mini 99 with film (worth RM1,200).
Second runner up Neeventhaa Perabagaran, a 19 year old student from Multimedia University Malaysia (MMU) walked away with a Fujifilm instax Pal (worth RM588), as well as exclusive Volkswagen merchandise.
“The brand already holds a special place in the hearts of many — not only among our passionate owners, but also those who resonate with the spirit of fun, style, and bold individuality that our cars embody,” said Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM) brand manager Charles Lim.
“At Fujifilm, we believe in the power of photography to tell compelling stories, and we have seen how creatively participants interpreted the essence of Volkswagen through their unique perspectives,” said Fujifilm (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd electronic imaging & Instax division senior sales and marketing manager Thomas Kwan.
