VW Tiguan now offered with six-month free instalment

KUALA LUMPUR: Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM) is celebrating the Tiguan mid-sized sports utility vehicle's (SUV's) achievement for surpassing the six-million mark in global sales with a special deal.

On average, a brand-new Tiguan rolls off the production line every 35 seconds at Volkswagen factories located around the globe.

The company is currently offering new buyers of the German carmaker's best-selling model for 2019 with the opportunity to drive it home with six months of free instalments for all units booked and registered from now until June 30.

Additionally, those who place a booking via the company's eShowroom will enjoy an additional RM4,000 rebate.

Based on a nine-year loan at 2.3% interest rate together with a 10% downpayment and RM4,000 rebate, new Tiguan customers are able to save RM1,630 monthly (RM1,670 without RM4,000 rebate).

Over a six-month period, customers will be able to save RM10,020 (RM9,780 with rebate).

For added convenience, new customers can opt to have their new Tiguan sent directly to their doorstep with the Volkswagen Home Delivery service for free to owners located within a 20km radius from the dealership.

The Tiguan is powered by a 1.4-litre turbocharged TSI direct-injection engine producing 150PS and 250Nm of torque that's managed by a six-speed direct shift gearbox (DSG).

The company boasts that this mid-sized SUV is capable of achieving an approximate range of 800km between refuelling.

Inside, the cabin has been fitted with the Digital Cockpit that features a high-resolution display with a three-view customizable screen via the infotainment system with over 30 combination options.

With regards to connectivity, occupants are able to utilise App-Connect via MirrorLink, Android Auto and Apple Carplay.

For safety, the Tiguan is fitted with six airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Multi-collision brakes, Intelligent Crash Response System (ICRS), Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) as well as hill-hold control among others.

The Tiguan made its debut at the 2007 Frankfurt International Motor Show (IAA).
