VW to roll out 8 new electric models by 2027, says brand chief

BERLIN: Volkswagen brand aims to win back market share with eight new affordable electric models to be rolled out by 2027, brand head Thomas Schaefer told the publication auto motor und sport on Wednesday.
"We have to produce our vehicles profitably and put them on the road at affordable prices," the publication quoted him as saying.
It also reported that the ID.2 small car model would be developed in 36 months instead of 50 months.
