PETALING JAYA: WMoto has introduced the Griffin 205 adventure-style crossover scooter to the Malaysian market, priced at RM8,888 excluding road tax and insurance.
Mforce Bike Holdings Sdn Bhd is the official manufacturer and distributor of WMoto.
The Griffin 205 is available in Glacier Grey, Action Blue, Xtreme White and Nitro Red.
Power comes from a 198cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, four-valve engine producing 14.5kW at 8,250rpm and 17.5Nm of torque at 6,500rpm.
The electronic fuel injection (EFI) engine is paired with a CVT and features an 11-litre fuel tank.
The Griffin 205 rides on 14-inch wheels with telescopic front forks and twin rear shock absorbers.
Braking is handled by front and rear disc brakes backed by a dual-channel ABS, while a switchable traction control system (TCS) is included as standard.
It is also fitted with TFT instrument display, USB Type-A and Type-C charging ports, full-LED lighting, side-stand safety switch, emergency hazard button and Carbit Ride smartphone connectivity for Android and iOS devices, and a built-in front camera supports the third-party Road Cam application.
The scooter measures 1,970mm long with a 1,350mm wheelbase, 790mm seat height, 100mm ground clearance and weighs 126kg (dry). Maximum load capacity is rated at 276kg.
Other features include a front storage compartment, sporty muffler, body stabiliser, winglets and a 12V 8Ah gel battery.
The Griffin 205 is backed by a two-year or 20,000km manufacturer warranty, whichever comes first, together with access to Mforce's online genuine parts service.
