BEIJING: Xiaomi EV has unveiled its SkyNomad Series, the first model built on the company's Kunlun platform.
Positioned as an intelligent, reconfigurable, large-space SUV (sport utility vehicle), the Xiaomi SkyNomad is built around three core strengths — expansive interior space, a completely flat cabin floor, and reconfigurable seating.
These strengths are paired with the Kunlun HyperRange, Xiaomi Armor Scale Battery, and Kunlun Total Safety.
There are two SkyNomad extended-range SUV variants, namely the flagship seven-seater N90 Max and five-seat AWD (all wheel drive) N70 Max.
Pre-sale prices are 299,900 yuan (RM181,926) for the N90 Max and 259,900 yuan (RM157,661) for the N70 Max.
Battery capacity ranges from 52kWh (entry) to 76kWh.
On CLTC, the N70 Max reaches up to 505km of EV (electric vehicle)-only range (best in its class); the N90 Max reaches 464km.
Combined with a large fuel tank, the N90 Max reaches a combined range of 1,705km.
Dual-motor all-wheel drive delivers 310kW of peak power.
Despite a nearly 5.3-metre length, the N90 Max has a 5.95-metre turning radius, aided by rack-type electric power steering for agile, precise handling.
The N90 Max features a double-wishbone front suspension, and an H-arm multi-link rear suspension.

The mid-to-large N70 Max variant measures 4,960mm × 1,998mm × 1,765mm, on a 2,950mm wheelbase.
Three lines define the upright stance: a flat roofline that maximises second- and third-row headroom; a continuous waistline that stretches the profile; and a rising sill line that lifts the visual center of gravity for a more commanding presence.
The dragonfly-shaped headlights evolve the classic cross pattern into the front fascia; the halo taillight transforms into an inverted U-shape.
The SkyNomad incorporates over 140 aerodynamic optimizations, including a standard active grille across the range, achieving a drag coefficient of 0.255 on the N90 Max variant.
