BEIJING: The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra production model has set the fastest electric executive vehicle record at the Nürburgring Nordschleife with a blistering lap time of 7:04.957 minutes.
The SU7 Ultra was fitted with the optional track package, and conquered the legendary circuit on its first attempt.
In a statement, Xiaomi said the SU7 Ultra’s achievement is a testament to the company' relentless pursuit of track performance.
Xiaomi said its extreme "three core electric technologies" (electric motor, power battery, and motor control unit), chassis torque-vectoring control, and aerodynamic design laid a solid foundation for this new record.
This powertrain setup, consisting of two V8s and one V6s e-motors, delivers a power output of 1,548PS.

Acceleration from 0-100kph is in only 1.98 seconds and pushes the top speed beyond 350kph.
Meanwhile, Xiaomi had recently inked a co-operation deal with the Nürburgring.
A new "Xiaomi Curve" has been added to the Grand Prix track.
Also, Xiaomi is now a member of the Nürburgring’s test and development drives (commonly known as the Industry Pool).
Xiaomi will leverage its Nürburgring partnership to accelerate EV development, using the legendary circuit as a proving ground for next-generation technologies.
