PETALING JAYA: Bermaz XPeng has added a more affordable variant of the XPeng G6 to its current lineup of electric smart coupes.
With on-the-road without insurance for private registration in Peninsular Malaysia of RM159,948, the rear-wheel drive (RWD) Standard Range offers a balance of intelligent features, performance and value for buyers.
Other variants in the G6 lineup are the RWD Long Range, All-wheel drive (AWD) Performance and AWD Black Edition.
Built on XPeng’s SEPA 2.0 architecture, the Standard Range retains the G6 lineup’s signature driving dynamics and intelligent character for everyday use.
Forming the foundation of XPeng’s AI-powered EV technology, its core architecture, software, and intelligent systems are engineered to enhance efficiency, rigidity, and responsiveness.
Its 800V 5C ultra-fast charging platform ensures minimal downtime for daily use, while the 68.5kWh battery, 50kg lighter than the Long Range variant's, contributes to improved efficiency and a more responsive driving feel.
Its low energy consumption of 16.6kWh per 100km allows a driving range of 480km (WLTP).
Even with Standard Range parked with the air conditioning running, the vehicle consumes only around 1% of the battery charge per hour, allowing occupants to stay comfortable without unnecessary range loss.
With rapid charging from 10% to 80% in just 12 minutes, the Standard Range delivers one of the fastest charging in its class.
Shod in 18-inch wheels, the Standard Range's electric motor system delivers 185kW and 440Nm of torque, enabling a 0-100kph sprint time of 6.94 seconds and a top speed of 202kph.
Meanwhile, the interior features soft-touch materials, ambient lighting, along with intuitive digital interfaces to blend comfort with contemporary design.
Taking up prime space on the dashboard are the 10.25-inch instrument cluster and the responsive 15.6-inch centre screen that supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Its comprehensive suite of intelligent assistance features include Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC, Lane Centering Control (LCC), Adaptive Turning Cruise (ATC, Enhanced Auto Parking Assist (EAP2.0), Auto Exit Parking Assist (AEP), Parking assist with 360-degree camera, Transparent Chassis, Vehicle backup camera, Key remote control parking assistance, Mobile phone app parking assistance and Straight Vehicle Summon.
Other safety systems include Forward Distance Monitoring (FDM), Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR, Intelligent High Beam (IHB, Driving Recorder, Driver State Monitoring (DSM), Side Collision Prevention and Blind Spot Detection (BSD) among others.
Available colours are Arctic White, Graphite Gray, Midnight Black, Silver Frost and Stellar Purple with interior colours of light or dark gray.
All G6 variants are offered with either a 2-Year Unlimited Charging package by JomCharge or a complimentary 11kW Wallbox with installation by DC Handal.
Also included are a 5-Year or 120,000km Manufacturer Warranty along with 5 Years or 100,000km of Free Service and Maintenance.
For added peace of mind, the G6 also comes with an 8-Year High Voltage Battery Pack Warranty with a mileage limit of 160,000km.
