PETALING JAYA: XPeng has taken up residence in Petaling Jaya's Damansara neighbourhood.
Owned and operated by Nizra Auto, the Xpeng Store Damansara's opening was officiated by Motorsports Association of Malaysia's president Tan Sri Mokhzani Mahathir.
Other guest attendees included Bermaz Auto Berhad group chief executive officer Dato’ Sri Francis Lee Kok Chuan, Prima Maju Auto Sdn Bhd chariman and executive director Dato’ Sri Amer Hamzah Ahmad, and Bermaz XPeng head Wan Zarel Harun.

Speaking at the launch, Nizra Group Berhad founder and group CEO Nik Iruwan Nik Izani said XPeng represents far more than an automotive brand.
“Many people see XPeng as an electric vehicle company. We see it as a technology company. The car is simply where artificial intelligence, software, connectivity and autonomous technologies come together.
“The future belongs to companies that build great technology, not just great cars,” said Nik Iruwan.

Nik Iruwan added that the partnership reflects a shared vision between the two companies' embrace of innovation, continuous improvement and building for the future.
“Our ambition has never been simply to sell vehicles. We are building the mobility company of tomorrow—one that embraces technology, delivers an exceptional ownership experience and continues to evolve alongside our customers.”
Expressing his appreciation to Bermaz Auto Berhad for its confidence in Nizra Auto, Nik Iruwan describes the partnership as one built on trust, shared values and a common vision for the future of mobility in Malaysia.

In coming times Nizra Auto plans to strengthen its XPeng presence through the development of dedicated after sales and service facilities to deliver a complete ownership experience while expanding its mobility ecosystem.
Nik Iruwan also called for continued commitment towards developing Malaysian owned automotive businesses as global brands continue expanding their presence in the country.
“Strong Malaysian companies create jobs, develop talent, build long-term industrial capability and contribute to our nation’s economy. As we welcome more global automotive brands into Malaysia, we must also continue supporting, protecting and strengthening Malaysian-owned automotive businesses, ensuring they remain competitive and continue creating value for generations to come,” he added.
