KUALA LUMPUR: The new Xpeng X9 flagship seven‑seater MPV (multi-purpose vehicle) comes in three variants, and blends first‑class comfort with the innovation of smart mobility.
It is available for booking, and selling prices are RM279,888 (X9 FWD Standard Range), RM297,888 (X9 FWD Long Range) and RM333,888 (X9 AWD Performance).
It is fully imported from China.
The X9 comes with a five-year manufacturer warranty (or 120,000km, whichever comes first) and five-year free service and maintenance (or 100,000km, whichever comes first).
It includes an eight-year high voltage battery pack warranty with a 160,000km mileage limit.
It is offered in five striking exterior colours - Midnight Black, Arctic White, Matte Gray, along with two newly introduced colours, Lambent Cyan and Polar Violet.
The Standard Range variant features a 94.8kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery with up to 535km of range, supporting ultrafast charging from 10% to 80% in 12 minutes with peak power of 537kW.
Meanwhile, the Long Range and AWD Performance variants adopt a 110kWh nickel cobalt manganese (NCM) battery, delivering up to 615km and 580km of range respectively.
Both maintain the same rapid 12-minute charging window and achieve peak power of 542kW.
The new X9 builds on Xpeng’s 800V SiC high voltage platform, enhanced by 5C supercharge efficiency, to deliver one of the most advanced fast charging experiences in its class.

"This approach accelerates advancements across autonomous driving, robotics, flying vehicles and next-generation smart mobility while strengthening Malaysia’s automotive ecosystem as Xpeng moves toward establishing completely knocked down (CKD) operations at the EPMB facility in Melaka,” he added.
The X9 has a streamlined silhouette and signature “Robot Face” front fascia.
It is now equipped with power front soft-close doors. The floating roofline, expansive side windows, and gently tapered rear maintain its sleek profile.
The cabin has an updated interior palette that includes Coffee, Meteorite Black, and a new Rose Brown dual-tone design combining rosy brown and white.
The newly introduced ultra-fibre steering wheel offers a supple, premium feel.
Also, there is an upgraded 27-speaker XOpera audio system.
The second-row benefits from a more adaptable 40/60 split-folding configuration, enabling easier accommodation of child seats, strollers, or larger items.
The third row now features seat heating.
At the rear, a smart refrigerator with a childlock feature adds a layer of safety.
At the core of the new XPilot Assist hardware system is the Xpeng Turing AI chipset, a next-generation processor delivering up to 750 trillion operations per second (TOPS) of computing performance for real-time intelligent driving.
Its high efficiency architecture processes data from radar, cameras, and ultrasonic sensors with exceptional clarity.
The new X9 strengthens occupant protection with nine airbags, an electronic child lock, and a high-strength body structure engineered for optimal energy absorption.
A full suite of high definition radar, cameras, and ultrasonic sensors works continuously in the background.
Adaptive cruise functions, lane centering and lane change assistance, intelligent speed management, and real-time environment simulation work cohesively to provide a smoother, more composed driving experience.
Parking and low speed manoeuvres are supported by advanced automated parking, remote parking, and vehicle summon capabilities, complemented by a 360-degree camera, transparent chassis view, and narrow path assistance.
These are reinforced by a comprehensive active safety suite covering forward, side, and rear collision prevention, blind spot and door opening warnings, lane departure and lane keeping assistance, and cross traffic alerts.
