KUALA LUMPUR: To celebrate the Yamaha 135LC's 20th anniversary in Malaysia, Hong Leong Yamaha Motor (HLYM) is introducing four exciting new colours for this iconic model.
The new colourways include a Celeste 20th Anniversary limited edition, which is distinguished by its exclusive 20th Anniversary Basket with a unique serial number.
It is limited to 5,000 units nationwide.
Other colourways are Matador Red, Tank White and Samba Green.
The Celeste 20th Anniversary limited edition has a recommended retail price of RM8,798 while Matador Red, Tank White and Samba Green are at RM8,298 (all prices excluding insurance and registration fees).
Every purchase comes with a complimentary Yamaha disc lock worth RM100.
Introduced in 2006, the 135LC redefined Malaysia's underbone segment as the first in its class to feature a liquid-cooled engine, inspiring the "LC" in its name.
A key milestone in its journey came in 2022 with the introduction of the LC135 Fi, developed exclusively for the Malaysian market.
Equipped with an EU4-compliant fuel injection engine, Yamaha's signature auto-clutch transmission, rear disc brakes and the proven 135cc liquid-cooled engine, the LC135 Fi delivers a maximum power output of 9.3kW at 8,000rpm and 12.2Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm, providing riders with a balance of performance, efficiency and everyday usability.
