You now have to pay for parking at Genting Highlands

GENTING HIGHLANDS: Free parking at the highland resort is a thing of the past with effect from this month.

A China Press report said parking operators are now charging RM5 per day on weekdays and RM8 per day on weekends and public holidays. These rates are temporary as they will be revised from Jan 1, 2018, with parking fees based on an hourly rate.

The Chinese newspaper said the rates will start at RM2 per hour with a maximum charge of RM12 per day on weekdays. The charges will increase to RM3 per hour with a maximum rate of RM18 per day on weekends and public holidays.

Genting Rewards card members will continue to get free parking until the end of this month. However, members with Genting Gold card and above will get tp enjoy free parking until the end of 2017.

Parking at the Genting Premium Outlets is already chargeable, according to China Press.
