Although the bike is available from August onwards, the company is very confident of its appeal and has targeted to sell an average of 2,000 units per month to help elevate itself to being top in the industry.
The RS150R is now the range-topper within its stablemates of the entry-level Wave Alpha and mid-range Wave Dash and gets equipped with a LED headlight.
With a wheelbase of 1,276mm, the 123kg (wet) bike gets a twin-tube frame that makes it 2,025mm-long, 725mm-wide and 1,105mm-tall.
A 149cc liquid-cooled four-stroke single-piston engine with dual overhead cam-shafts - producing 15.6PS at 9,000rpm and 13.5Nm of torque at 6,500rpm, has a compression ratio of 11.3:1 and holds 1.3 litres of engine oil. A six-speed manual gearbox with a wet clutch manages power to the rear wheel.
The bike uses front telescopic and a rear mono-shock suspension while rolling on 90/80 - 17M/C 46P(front) and 120/70 - 17M/C 58P (rear) tyres.
Aside from the Repsol livery, the RS150R is also available in Metallic Red, Matt Blue and Matt Black.
