HIROSHIMA: Mazda has announced that the new CX-5 will make its world premiere at the Nov 18-27 Los Angeles Auto Show.

Mazda issued sketchy details on the SUV, only saying that its design and technological features have been further refined to offer "new dimensions of driving pleasure."

This can only mean the CX-5 will look more upscale with improved interior trim and more driver assist technologies in keeping with current trends to improve connectivity and safety.

Comparing the upcoming SUV with the current one indicates that the front end in the new vehicle will have a sharper cut instead of the more rounded front of the outgoing model when viewed sideways.

Besides the new CX-5, Mazda will also have world premieres of the MX-5 RF and the Mazda Prototype race car.
