MINI Connected arrives in March for 43 countries - Malaysia included

MUNICH: MINI has announced that from March onwards, all new models in 43 international markets will be made available with an optional built-in 4G SIM card that will give owners access to personalised services, dubbed MINI Connected.

Based on BMW's Connected services, MINI's new-found services will be available in countries including Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Denmark, Germany, Finland, France, United Kingdom, Greece, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Kuwait, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Macao, Mexico, New Zealand, Netherlands, Norway, Austria, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, South Africa, South Korea, Taiwan, Czech Republic, Turkey, Hungary, USA, United Arab Emirates.

Also, the new MINI 3 Door, 5 Door and Convertible models will make their respective debuts with MINI Connected and will include services such as Intelligent Emergency Call, Teleservices, Concierge Service, Real Time Traffic Information with navigation map updates and MINI Online.

The Concierge Service will allow owners access to round-the-clock assistance for information and address data, research connections and offer practical tips during a journey

Other new digital services will include Time-to-Leave Notifications (push messages to assist punctual departure), Send to Car (for importing destinations from a smartphone to the car), Remote Services (such as locking the car’s doors from a smartphone) and for electrified MINI models – a charging timer, charging station search facility and personal efficiency status display.
