PARIS: Audi Sport customer racing has unveiled its fourth new model evolution - the R8 LMS GT3.

Due to go racing racing in January 2019, the new version of the R8 has been tailored closely to the customer requirements regarding technology and operating costs.

During the development project of the latest evolution, Audi Sport has optimised the aerodynamics and cooling for greater consistency under various dynamic driving conditions.

Durability of the power transmission elements was another focal area with moderate modifications of the overall concept and longer service intervals for the clutch and transmission.

Whether the teams already own a second-generation Audi R8 LMS or is buying a new model, the parts are suitable for retrofitting to existing R8 race cars.

Following the race car's debut in Paris, first customer race car deliveries will begin in November at a sales price of 398,000 euros (RM2mil)

The evolution kit for retrofitting older model generations costs 28,000 euros (RM133,934).
