KUALA LUMPUR: The BMW X7 M Sport has arrived, introducing a second variant that seeks to show the sporty side of the SUV.
The locally assembled X7 xDrive40i M Sport is priced at RM728,800. Price is for extended five-year, unlimited-mileage warranty and 5 years' free servicing.
The X7 comes with the M Aerodynamics package and 22-inch alloy wheels with M Sport brakes.
It is powered by a 3.0-litre turbocharged in-line six-cylinder petrol engine hooked up to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The engine makes 340hp and 450Nm of torque.
It shares much of what the RM709,000 X7 Pure Excellence variant gets (2023 price at RM654,800).
These include Executive Drive Pro suspension control system and integral active steering features, complemented by an all-wheel drive system.
The latest variant of the SUV also retains the seven-seater layout, panoramic sunroof, BMW Laserlight, BMW display key, active cruise control and engine auto start/stop, parking assistance with surround camera.
Inside, the M Sport car also has fancy glass controls such as seen in the gearshifter, Start/Stop button and iDrive knob. The cabin also gains a Harman Kardon hi-fi system, BMW Live Cockpit Professional and M Sport leather steering wheel.
New to this variant is a different wood trim to give off a sporty vibe.
Three types of leather upholstery are offered and they go by names like Vernasca Cognac, Vernasca Coffee and Vernasca Black.
Exterior colour choices are Black Sapphire, Mineral White, Manhattan Metallic and Arctic Grey Brilliant Effect (an M Sport-only colour).
