PARIS:  Bugatti managed to win the highly sought after design award for its La Voiture Noire in the "Concept Cars and Prototypes” category by a public vote during this year's Villa d'Este for the world of luxury sports cars.

Receiving the award on behalf of the company was Bugatti CEO Stephan Winkelmann: "The models that can be seen here every year are iconic and the setting in which they are displayed could not be better".

Unveiled for the first time during the Geneva Motor Show this year, Bugatti's La Voiture Noire (The Black Car) commemorates the brand's 110th anniversary. 
La Voiture Noire also pays homage to the legendary Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic in black which mysteriously disappeared from the workshops in Molsheim during the Second World War.

It took the key elements of the historic Gran Turismo and kept all the elements that make a Bugatti hyper sports cars exceptional.
