The new sport version of the 1,500PS super sports car was presented by Wearnes Automotive, Bugatti’s official dealer partner in Malaysia.
The base price is 2.65 million euros (RM12.5mil) and customers can choose individual colour and trim options.
Over the next two days, the Chiron Sport will be presented to customers through exclusive private previews and at an official launch gala on Saturday.
“Since its world premiere earlier this year, the Chiron Sport has seen tremendous success with our customers worldwide,” said Pang Cheong Yan, managing director of the Prestige Division of Wearnes Automotive.
Wearnes Automotive has been an official Bugatti dealer since 2006 and currently undertakes its sales, after-sales and marketing activities for Bugatti Automobiles through its Singapore office.
Bugatti Automobiles S.A.S. is the manufacturer of the ultimate production super sports car.
The French luxury brand, which has been part of the Volkswagen Group since 1998, employs about 300 people.
Since it was established in 1909, the French luxury brand has had its headquarters at Molsheim, France, where 450 Veyrons were hand-crafted from 2005 to 2015 and where the new Chiron, which is limited to 500 cars, is being hand-crafted today.
At the 88th Geneva International Motor Show in 2018, Bugatti presented the Chiron Sport, a version of the Chiron which offers significantly improved handling and even more agility with unchanged power and performance data.
The Chiron and the Chiron Sport are built at the company’s headquarters in Molsheim. Only 500 cars in total are to be produced.
The Chiron Sport has a 8.0-litre 16-cylinder engine with four turbochargers, that produces 1,500hp at 6,700rpm and 1,600Nm of torque at 2,000 to 6,000rpm.
Power is transmitted via a 7-speed dsg dual-clutch gearbox, and the 0 – 100kph sprint in done in 2.4 seconds, onwards to a top speed of 420kph.
The Chiron Sport gets a Dynamic handling package with stiffer suspension and new Dynamic Torque Vectoring function, and a weight reduction of 18kg.
As a result, the Chiron Sport reaches higher cornering speeds and can lap the Nardò handling circuit in the south of Italy five seconds faster than the Chiron.
Bugatti developed the Chiron Sport for customers searching for an even sportier driving experience with their Chiron, with improved lateral dynamics on winding roads.
The Chiron Sport distinguished by a new wheel design and four-pipe exhaust deflector, and is the first production vehicle in the automotive industry with carbon fibre windscreen wiper arms.
