The CKD Mazda3 SKYACTIV is available in three variants: Sedan GL at RM105,376.30, while the Sedan High and Hatchback versions are priced the same at RM120,376.30 (all prices OTR without insurance).
The Mazda3 (only in sedan bodystyle) was launched in March last year as a CBU model and was priced at RM135,000.
The CKD sedan variant is of higher specs and priced nearly RM15,000 cheaper than the CBU unit.
Distributor Bermaz Motor said it is passing the cost savings from the local assembly to car buyers in the form of better value for their money.
All variants are generously equipped and get the SkyActiv six-speed automatic transmission, a 2.0-litre SkyActiv direct injection engine with 162bhp and 210Nm of torque, push start/stop system, six airbags, anti-lock braking system, dynamic stability control, traction control, a seven-inch monitor and the MZD Connect System with Commander Control Switch.
The entry-level Sedan GL comes with halogen headlights and 16-inch wheels while the Sedan High and Hatchback get bi-xenon headlights and 18-inch wheels.
Other extra items in the Sedan High and Hatchback are LED taillights, fog lamps, daytime running lights, wing mirrors with turn indicators, automatic air conditioner, paddle shifters, navigation system, keyless entry system, i-Stop and adaptive front lighting system.
The Sedan High also get additional equipment such as power driver seat, leather seats, automatic wipers, cruise control, auto dimming rear view mirror, head up display, smart city brake system, rear vehicle monitoring and lane departure warning system.
Every new Mazda3 comes with a 3-year/60,000km free maintenance package.
The CKD Mazda3 SKYACTIV is available in four colour choices: Artic White, Meteor Grey Mica, Aluminium Metallic and Blue Reflex Mica.
All versions are powered by the SKYACTIV-G petrol engine with a 2.0 litre displacement, with outputs of 162hp at 6,000rpm and 210Nm at 4,000rpm. Power to the front wheels is relayed by a SKYACTIV 6-speed automatic gearbox.
