Drivers of four supercars issued summonses for blocking highway

PETALING JAYA: Police have issued summonses to the drivers of four supercars shown blocking the road along the Elite Expressway.

Selangor police chief Comm Datuk Hussein Omar Khan, in a statement today said that the police were notified of the incident following a 49-second video posted on social media.

The video showed a convoy of supercars which was causing disruption to road users along the expressway.

"The police have summoned the account holder and following that, summonses have been issued for obstructing the road.

"The police would like to advise all road users to obey road laws to avoid accidents, road congestion and causing unnecessary grief to other road users," he said.

Summonses were issued to four drivers who were the main cause of the congestion.

The incident echoed a similar one by a Singapore car club on the Second Penang Bridge last month that was albeit a bigger convoy.
