This variant is the first 2.0L e:HEV powertrain introduction for Civic and Honda Malaysia, and anticipated to be the ultimate variant in the C-segment.
The hybrid powertrain delivers a segment-leading maximum torque of 315Nm and 184PS of maximum power output.
The Civic hybrid uses an Electric Continuously Variable Transmission (e-CVT) and has an Intelligent Power Unit (IPU) powered by a light and compact lithium-ion battery.
In continuing the strong legacy and DNA of Civic, the Civic e:HEV RS continues the sporty RS styling but now features the elements of the e:HEV line-up variant with the unique Blue H Mark and stylish Chrome Front Grille.
Complementing the exterior are the new 18-inch dual tone alloy wheels.
Another first for this fuel-sipping new variant is the exclusive Key Card system for a compact and convenient keyless entry and start function.
Other notable features in this model are the nine-inch Advanced Display Audio with Wireless Apple CarPlay, and Remote Engine Start.
The full suite of Honda SENSING array of intelligent driving asisstance is standard in the Civic e:HEV RS.
The features are Lead Car Departure Notification System (LCDN), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Low Speed Follow (LSF), Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS), Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Lane Keep Assist System (LKAS), Road Departure Mitigation (RDM), Lane Departure Warning (LDW) and Auto High Beam (AHB).
Honda Malaysia managing director and chief executive officer Hironobu Yoshimura said the 11th generation Civic which was launched early this year has been very well received by Malaysians, having sold more than 6,000 units from January to September 2022.
