KUALA LUMPUR: Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has a new marketing & sales operations vice president.
Effective July 1, Nadia Trimmel takes on the post. She is also appointed as head of marketing and sales for Mercedes-Benz Cars Malaysia & SEA II.
Trimmel replaces Bettina Plangger, who has assumed a new post in Stuttgart.
Trimmel joined Mercedes-Benz in 2014 as sales general manager and was promoted to be the managing director of Mercedes-Benz Vans South Africa two and half years later.
She has had nearly 25 years of work experience in the automotive industry, which included holding key roles in marketing, sales and aftersales at Ford and Nissan before she joined Mercedes-Benz.
Trimmel has a Bachelor’s degree in marketing and economics from the University of the Witwatersrand and an MBA from Manchester Metropolitan University.
"I am thrilled to join the SEA II executive team and I look forward to contributing towards shaping our strategy within the vibrant automotive landscape in Malaysia and the greater SEA II region," said Trimmel.
"I look forward to collaborating with the team, our retail partners, and various stakeholders to strengthen our market position through innovative sales strategies and customer-centric marketing initiatives."
