The new fuel formulation includes the world's first Dual Friction Modifier which helps reduce friction by 20%; the Double Detergent boosts the fuel's cleaning agent to eliminate up to 99% of carbon deposits and the Anti-Corrosion chemistry gives engines two times better protection for superior engine performance.
The formulation has leveraged on Petronas' research and development facilities in Europe and the USA that have been supporting the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 record which claimed its fifth consecutive World Constructors Championship in 2018.

"The new Primas 95 with Pro-Drive is our response to the feedback from surveys we have conducted which have asked us for a smoother drive, responsive engine performance, a cleaner engine with better fuel efficiency," said PDB's managing director and chief executive officer Datuk Seri Syed Zainal Abidin at the launch of the new petrol.
Also present was the Minister of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs, Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail who jointly launched the new formulation with Syed Zainal.
Besides the new petrol, PDB has also introduced its new Kedai Mesra with enhanced offerings including F&B to complement its signature Mornings@Mesra.
