Porsche may dish out a three-row SUV in future
By CARSIFU | 24 November 2021
PETALING JAYA: There's demand for luxury three-row crossovers around the world, and Porsche may be brewing one that is posher than the Cayenne.
Automotive News broke the story that the new flagship model would be larger, longer and wider than the Cayenne.
Apparently, Porsche dealers reported having seen the three-row SUV at a dealer meeting in Atlanta, US, last week.
Porsche would not confirm the Automotive News report.
If true, it would not be surprising if the new model is rolled out as a plug-in hybrid, a battery electric vehicle or both. That would be in keeping with Porsche's stated goal to have 80% of its vehicle range as battery electric or plug-in hybrid electric vehicles by 2030.
We will just have to wait and see if Porsche comes around to building the three-row SUV. It would be interesting to find out what it would be called - and if Porsche is going to roll out a video clip to tell the world how to pronounce the name, as it did with the Taycan in 2018.
