The new fuel is currently available at five selected Shell stations in Peninsular Malaysia including at the Tapah Rest Stop and Tanjung Malim Layby in Perak; Bandar Ayer Keroh, Melaka; and Pasir Gudang Highway 2, Johor.
The new diesel aims to provide consumers who want a high quality, fuel efficient fuel compatible with modern engines which require low sulphur content.

“The introduction of Shell FuelSave Diesel Euro 5 is an affirmation of our commitment to help consumers make smarter choices on the road. By providing drivers more a more efficient diesel fuel, we are enabling them to go further and do more in the long run,” said Shell Malaysia Trading and Shell Timur managing director Azman Ismail.
Shell Malaysia also partnered with BMW Group Malaysia in creating awareness on the importance of fuel efficiency and lower emissions on the road.
“The introduction of the new Shell FuelSave Diesel Euro 5 is an important step forward for diesel drivers in Malaysia to have access to the newest specification of diesel fuel at the stations,” said BMW Group Malaysia head of corporate communications, Sashi Ambi.
The new fuel has an ultra-low sulphur content of only 10 part per million (ppm) compared to 500ppm in the previous Shell FuelSave Diesel Euro2M.
Shell aims to invest into its expansive network to quickly extend availability of the new diesel at more locations.
