GEORGETOWN: Tian Siang Premium Auto and Gurney Paragon Mall introduce new BMW i Charging facilities at Gurney Paragon Mall in Penang.
This further expands the network growth of charging facilities in the country.
“The new charging facilities here at Gurney Paragon Mall marks our first location on the island of Penang and the second in the state that is fully-equipped and ready to further power the future of mobility in Malaysia, complementing the two BMW i Charging Facilities introduced at the Iconic Hotel in Butterworth, Penang in October last year," said Tian Siang Premium Auto managing director Tan Ka Kin.
He added that with the expansion and subsequent accessibility of charging facilities in Penang, there will be greater adoption of electromobility in the northwestern region of Malaysia in 2020.
The New BMW i Charging Facilities in the Gurney Paragon Mall adds to over 20 charging facilities unveiled in recent years across Malaysia by BMW Group Malaysia and its dealer partners.
“The latest service is part of our ongoing green initiative. Exclusive for Gurney Paragon Mall’s shoppers, they can now enjoy the convenience of charging their vehicle while they shop worry-free,” said Gurney Paragon Mall executive director Fong Yin Sian.
Other locations of the BMW i Charging Facilities include Bangsar Shopping Centre in Kuala Lumpur; The Banjaran Hotsprings Retreat and Weil Hotel in Ipoh; Holiday Inn Melaka and The Equatorial Melaka; as well as CityOne Megamall in Kuching.
BMW Group Malaysia’s portfolio of Visionary Mobility with the BMW iPerformance vehicles are also supported by the ChargEV platform through its partnership with the Malaysian Green Technology Corporation.
The BMW ChargeNow service, which is offered as part of the BMW 360-degree Electric programme, also grants straight forward
access to partner charging facilities.
Such facilities include ChargEV, where customers can enjoy 24/7 support and access to all charging locations in ChargEV’s growing network which now offers more than 270 charging facilities nationwide.
