PETALING JAYA: NAZA Premira, the sole distributor of Vespa in Malaysia, has launched the S125 scooter with an i-GET motor.

The new scooter is priced on-the-road with GST and insurance at RM13,100 and is available in four colour options of Verde Matt, Rosso Matt, Grigio Titanio and Arancio Taormina.

Its new good looks comes from newly added aesthetics which includes a new mask and tie located on the front shield, instrument panel graphics and footboard plastics.

The 114kg scooter sports a 7.0-litre petrol tank that feeds the EURO3 124.5cc single-cylinder four-stroke motor with fuel-injection to produce 10.2hp at 7,600rpm and 10.2Nm at 6,000rpm, while mated to a continuously variable transmission.

Size-wise, the scooter comes with a 1,280mm wheelbase and measures 1,770mm-long and 7.5mm-wide, putting the saddle height at 785mm.

For grip, it rolls on 11.0-inch (front) and 10.0-inch (rear) wheels fitted with 110/70 (front) and 120/70 rear tyres while stopping power comes from a 200mm front disc and 110mm rear drum brakes.

Handling comes from its front single arm with helical spring and single double-acting hydraulic shock absorber and rear shock with four pre-load settings.

For added convenience, it offers riders an under-seat compartment capable of fitting two half-helmets.
