KUALA LUMPUR: Volkswagen Group Malaysia has stepped up its initiative to improve its dealer’s service capabilities with the introduction of its Volkswagen Expert programme.

In a bid to enhance customer satisfaction, the programme sees 10 German and two local master technicians involved in a two-week rotation at dealerships to help local technicians address and rectify vehicular issues.

In addition, the Volkswagen Experts will also undertake coaching of after sales service skills including a 20-point check that includes checking the engine, cabin, tyres, brakes, suspension, electronics and lightings to name a few.

The experts will not only help to ensure customers receive the highest level of service, but also to help support the dealerships by encouraging the company’s service technicians to gain new knowledge and skills.

“Volkswagen Group Malaysia will continue to invest on training and development of the technicians at all authorised dealerships to enhance the after sales service experience,” said Volkswagen Group Malaysia managing director Armin Keller.

Some of the experts have as many as 25 years of experience in servicing Volkswagens.

The Volkswagen Expert programme first begins within the Klang Valley before reaching out to the rest of the nation.
