PETALING JAYA: Volvo Car Malaysia, the premium Swedish car brand, is offering great deals for this year's Chinese New Year with angpows worth up to RM13,888.
The Swedish carmaker is running its "Recharge the year with Prosperity" campaign from now until Feb 29 for its range of Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEV).
Additionally, a Recharge package worth RM10,000 will be added when purchasing a Volvo PHEV which will be covered by a five-year maintenance-free package and an eight-year PHEV battery warranty.
The vehicles included starts with Volvo's flagship model, the XC90 sport utility vehicle (SUV) that's available in either T8 Twin Engine Inscription or T8 Twin Engine Inscription Plus and are priced on-the-road without insurance at RM399,888 and RM409,888 respectively.
Also included is the mid-size XC60 SUV which is also available in either T8 Twin Engine Inscription or T8 Twin Engine Inscription Plus and are similarly priced at RM333,888 and RM343,888 respectively.
In the executive sedan category, Volvo offers up the stately S90 T8 Twin Engine Inscription (RM366,888) and S90 T8 Twin Engine Inscription Plus (RM386,888) as well as the sporty S60 T8 Twin Engine R-Design (RM295,888).
For all Volvo PHEVs, power comes from a 2.0-litre (1,969cc) turbocharged engine that and an electric motor that has a combined output of 407hp and 640Nm of torque.
Entertainment comes from a Bowers & Wilkins premium audio sound system which is only available in Inscription Plus models.
For added safety, all of Volvo's PHEVs come featuring the company's Intellisafe suite of preventive safety features that include City Safety for collision avoidance and mitigation with intersection support for pedestrian, cyclist and large animal detection.
Also included are front and rear collision warning and mitigation support, driver alert control, lane-keeping aid and run-off road mitigation, blind spot information system with steer assist and cross-traffic alert with auto brake, seat belt detection with graphical indicator for all seats, anti-lock brake system (ABS) and emergency brake assist.
